Description
When i played World of Warcraft, during the Burning Crusade expansion, I fell in love with the dragons and lore of the game. Netherwing dragons in particular are my favorite dragons.
Before Draenor explodes and became Outland, Deathwing left a clutch of black dragon eggs behind before he retreated back to Azeroth. The explosion caused the eggs to be exposed to nether energies to the Twisting Nether. They became netherdrakes, nether infused black dragons but yet they do have share their father's madness. Lost and abandoned they make their homes in various places in Outland.
In the game, the nether dragons we see share the same models has adult black dragons but share the translucent features with different shades of green, blue, and purple. Probably because they were the ones that hatched from the nether infused black dragon eggs, thus share their relative's features. While the netherdrakes, bred and hatched in Outland, look different than their sires. The body look more solid while the wings and tail become translucent and glowing crystals on their backs and limbs. But they are only DRAKES, not adult dragons. Most likely the reason why we don't see adult nether dragons that was born in Outland is due to several reasons: Competition of food with rock flayers, land is too dangerous with demons and other beasts, and probably the most likely culprit is the Dragonmaw orcs and the orcish fel horde enslaving young drakes and giving them to Sinestra, Deathwing's prime consort, for her experiments to make her own twilight dragons.
I'm sure if given more years to survive the harsh world of Outland they could mature into adult nether dragons that COULD look like this. There can be other ways it can look;
Body becomes more transparent, covered in spines and crystals, or even look the same as their sires bred in Azeroth but hatched in Outland. This is my concept of what would an adult nether dragon would look like if given the chance; still retaining it's drakes features.
Probably the ONE opportunity that i missed is making the wings and other webbing transparent. If i make more i'll need to do so.
